For a person with Celiac disease, cheating on a gluten free diet is a very wrong choice as taking in just a little amount of gluten will cause the body to react against it causing much damage to some parts of the body in the process. This damage takes much time to heal even when a gluten free diet is again followed.

Cheating on a gluten free diet is made when awareness of the consequences is there yet still one allows himself to indulge in food that are supposed to be avoided during the gluten free process. Like with other diets, cheating during the gluten free diet is expected especially when the body is still adjusting to the new phase. Not only Celiatic patients who need to be gluten free, but others too going through a gluten free plan for other reasons are so likely to miss the gluten free program at one time or another.

The consequences play a role in disciplining one’s mind to refrain from repeatedly cheating on the gluten free diet. Sometimes people wait for severe pain to occur before clinging on to doctor’s advice. In some cases, gluten intolerant persons may not be able to feel the effects of cheating on the gluten free diet. So it may be a cause for them to be tempted to cheat again the next time. This allows them to distance further away from a gluten free life.

Imagining the damage what the body goes through as a consequence would help the mind keep away from making that mistake again and try to stay on the gluten free track. It must be thought that even if pain is not felt, the body still is experiencing a disorder inside and in some ways, not feeling anything can be more critical.
